Conveyancing & Property Law
One of the most important decisions that you will make, both personally and financially, will be the purchase and sale of property. The team at GMC Lawyers have extensive experience and knowledge to guide you through the conveyancing process. We assist with both residential and commercial conveyancing and have experience with PEXA and other electronic platforms. Whilst our conveyancers are experienced and thorough, at GMC Lawyers you’ll also have access to a qualified and experienced Lawyer. We also include contract reviews of standard contracts in our conveyancing fixed price fees. This ensures that your interests are protected.
The benefits of working with a PEXA certified Lawyer is that conveyancing transactions occur in a quick and efficient manner. In most instances the Seller receives their settlement funds and properties are recorded in the name of the Buyer within 20 minutes of the settlement.
Did you know that the contract provides for either party to extend the settlement date by up to five (5) business days without needing approval from the other? Did you also know that the property is at the Buyer’s risk from the date they sign the Contract, meaning Buyers should insure a property they don’t yet own, but Sellers are encouraged to also maintain existing insurance until settlement? Great for insurance companies! GMC Lawyers can help you navigate the conveyance and also the contract.
GMC Lawyers works close with Agents, Brokers and Banks throughout your conveyance to ensure a smooth transaction. We aim to give you timely updates as things progress and ensure you’re kept well informed throughout the process.
Conveyancing can be a stressful time but it doesn’t have to be. From when you receive your contract through to settlement, our experienced staff can guide you through the ins and outs of what is required during the process. We handle both Residential and Commercial sales and purchases and we are registered for Pexa. Pexa is the electronic platform used for conveyancing. It is now mandatory in Queensland that transfers are done electronically. This provides peace of mind for quick and efficient turnaround times and allows for a smoother transition for linked transactions whereby the proceeds of the sale are required for the purchase of your new home.
