After working in England and touring through Europe, Yvonne returned to South Africa where she commenced working in the insurance industry as a specialist in Death and Disability Claims. Yvonne and her family then emigrated to Australia in 2010 settling on the Sunshine Coast. Yvonne, her husband, her parents, her son and four dogs all live together at the one property. Her daughter, Paige, also lived in the family home until relocating to Brisbane in early 2023.
Having gained an extensive background in administration in various industries, including undertaking an accounting diploma, Yvonne brings a great wealth of accounting and administration knowledge to her role as Practice Manager at Griffiths McDonald Carson. Yvonne also has prior experience in the legal industry including as a conveyancer.
Yvonne’s role at Griffiths McDonald Carson is wide and varied and is one she undertakes with tenacity and dedication. From Trust Account reconciliations to meetings with radio stations, you will find her doing it all. Yvonne gives 100% to all tasks that she undertakes and makes a genuine effort to maintain compliance and updated procedures to the benefit of the firm and our clients.
Law is a heavily regulated industry with many varied rules and regulations, including Trust Accounting, Solicitor conduct and client management. Yvonne proactively stays up to date with these rules, regulations and obligations, together with any changes, to ensure the firm is productive and our clients are protected. Yvonne worked closely with Melissa to manage the transition of the firm from Griffiths Lawyers Pty Ltd to Griffiths McDonald Carson. This was no mean feat and thanks to her competency and diligence it was as smooth and pain free as it possibly could be.
Yvonne is married with two children. Her daughter Paige was also a part of our team before spreading her wings and moving to Brisbane. Paige is currently undertaking a degree in human resources and management. This proud mum also has a son who is on the trajectory for a professional career in soccer football. To support Baiden in his career pursuits, Yvonne travels approximately 1000klm per week between football training and games so that Baiden can train with a professional league. All whilst working full time!
In her rare moments of spare time in between Football training and games, Yvonne enjoys spending time in her garden, with her family and spending time with her menagerie of dogs.
